Publication Ethics
The ICBAE Conference is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and to preventing all forms of publication malpractice. All parties involved in the conference publication process, including authors, reviewers, editors, members of the scientific committee, and publication partners, are expected to uphold ethical principles and professional responsibility throughout the submission, review, revision, and publication stages.
In line with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), ICBAE promotes the dissemination of original, high-quality, and ethically conducted research. The conference is dedicated to ensuring academic integrity, fairness, transparency, confidentiality, and respect for all participants in the publication process. Any form of plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, citation manipulation, duplicate submission, peer review manipulation, or other unethical conduct is strictly prohibited and will be handled seriously.
Allegation of Research Misconduct
Research misconduct includes, but is not limited to, fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, citation manipulation, and other unethical practices in the conduct, reporting, review, or publication of research. When concerns are raised regarding a submitted or accepted manuscript, the ICBAE Conference committee will examine the matter carefully in accordance with recognized ethical standards and COPE guidance.
If misconduct is identified in a submitted manuscript, the paper may be rejected or withdrawn from the conference program and publication process. If a paper has already been accepted or published in the conference proceedings, appropriate corrective action may be taken, including correction, withdrawal, or retraction, depending on the seriousness of the case. Authors may be asked to provide clarification and supporting evidence, and additional expert assessment may be sought when necessary.
Complaints and Appeals
ICBAE provides a process for handling complaints and appeals related to editorial decisions, peer review conduct, ethical concerns, or publication procedures. Complaints may relate to matters such as perceived unfair review, editorial bias, citation manipulation, peer review irregularities, or breaches of ethical standards. All complaints and appeals will be addressed fairly, confidentially, and in accordance with ethical publishing principles.
Ethical Oversight
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their research complies with relevant ethical and legal requirements. Any study involving human participants, animals, sensitive data, or potentially hazardous materials, techniques, or equipment must clearly state the relevant ethical considerations in the manuscript. Where applicable, authors must confirm that ethical approval has been obtained from the appropriate institutional or legal authority, and that informed consent has been secured. Privacy, dignity, and confidentiality must always be respected.
Duties and Responsibilities of Editors and Scientific Committee
The editors and scientific committee of ICBAE are responsible for making fair and independent decisions regarding submitted manuscripts. All papers should be evaluated based on academic merit, originality, clarity, relevance to the conference themes, and scholarly contribution, without discrimination on the basis of race, gender, nationality, religion, institutional affiliation, or political belief.
Editors must ensure that each eligible submission is reviewed by qualified reviewers and that all editorial decisions are based on reviewer comments, the quality of the manuscript, and the conferenceβs ethical and academic standards. Editors and committee members must maintain confidentiality, avoid conflicts of interest, and refrain from using unpublished material for personal advantage. When ethical concerns arise, they must respond appropriately and in a timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities of Authors
Authors submitting to ICBAE must ensure that their work is original, accurately reported, and properly referenced. Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published, nor be under consideration elsewhere in substantially the same form. Authors are expected to present data truthfully, acknowledge all relevant sources, and avoid plagiarism in any form.
Authorship must be limited to individuals who have made significant academic contributions to the work. All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission. Authors are also responsible for disclosing any financial support, conflicts of interest, or other relationships that may influence the research. If significant errors are discovered after submission or publication, authors must promptly notify the conference committee and cooperate in making corrections or withdrawals when necessary.
Where research involves human participants or animals, authors must clearly confirm compliance with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements. Any necessary approvals and informed consent statements should be included in the manuscript. Image manipulation that misrepresents the original data is not permitted. Adjustments to images are allowed only when they do not alter or obscure the scientific meaning of the material.
Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers play an essential role in supporting the quality and integrity of the ICBAE publication process. They are expected to review manuscripts objectively, constructively, and within the allocated timeframe. If a reviewer feels unqualified to assess a submission or unable to complete the review on time, they should inform the editors promptly.
All manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers should not share, discuss, or use any part of the manuscript for personal benefit. Reviews should focus on academic quality and be supported by clear reasoning. Reviewers should also identify relevant published work not cited by the authors and alert the editors to any substantial similarity between the manuscript and other known works. Any conflict of interest must be disclosed, and reviewers with such conflicts should decline the review assignment.
Commitment to Integrity
The ICBAE Conference remains committed to safeguarding the integrity of the academic record. Any suspected ethical breach, misconduct, or irregularity will be handled seriously, fairly, and in accordance with established ethical standards. Where necessary, the conference will issue corrections, withdrawals, or other appropriate actions to preserve the credibility and integrity of its proceedings and associated publications.
